Brewers 6, Rockies 5

Aramis Ramirez and Lyle Overbay both homered as visiting Milwaukee held on to complete a three-game sweep.

Jonathan Lucroy chipped in an RBI single while Carlos Gomez reached twice and scored for the Brewers, who finished their road trip with a 6-1 mark. Kyle Lohse (9-2) gave up three runs in five innings for the win, which almost was lost as closer Francisco Rodriguez was knocked around in the ninth before getting some good fortune to nail down his 25th save.

Wilin Rosario registered a two-run double and a solo homer among four hits while Drew Stubbs had an RBI triple to pace Colorado, which entered the series 40-18 at home against Milwaukee. Charlie Culberson contributed two hits and an RBI.

Overbay's blast in the top of the ninth made it 6-4, but Corey Dickerson led off the bottom half with a triple before falling down trying to race home on an overthrow and becoming an easy out. The stumble proved costly as Rosario followed with a solo blast that left the Rockies a run short.

Ramirez followed a bunt single by Gomez to begin the second with a blast off Tyler Matzek (1-2) to make it 2-0 and the Brewers added another run later in the frame, when Lohse grounded into a double play with the bases loaded. Rosario's double in the third tied it, but Lucroy knocked in a run in the fifth and then got caught in a rundown between second and third to allow another to come in and put Milwaukee ahead 5-3.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Colorado recalled RHP Rob Scahill from Triple-A Colorado Springs and optioned RHP Wilton Lopez. ... Matzek gave up five runs in 5 1/3 innings. ... Milwaukee returns home to host Washington on Monday, while Colorado hosts St. Louis.
