Royals-Twins rained out, play two Sunday
Rain washed out Saturday's game between the Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals in Minneapolis, and the teams will play a doubleheader on Sunday.
The games Sunday will mark the first traditional doubleheader in the history of Target Field, which opened in 2010. The Twins opted for that instead of a day-night doubleheader because they fly out on Sunday night to start a trip in Baltimore.
Phil Hughes will pitch the opener, with Adalberto Mejia starting the nightcap for the Twins, while the Royals did not immediately name their starters, although Ian Kennedy is expected to be activated from the disabled list to start one of the games.
