Marc Gasol scored 23 points and Zach Randolph added 18 points and 11 rebounds as visiting Memphis knocked off Utah for its eighth straight victory.
Mike Conley had 17 points and Jeff Green scored 13 for the Grizzlies, who are 12-1 over their last 13 games. Kosta Koufos added 10 points and six rebounds off the bench as Memphis improved to 16-7 on the road.
Trey Burke scored 21 points off the bench for the Jazz, who fell for the ninth time in the last 13 games. Enes Kanter contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds, Gordon Hayward added 15 points and Derrick Favors had 11.
Gasol scored six straight Memphis points and Nick Calathes added a layup to give the Grizzlies an 89-76 edge with 6:21 remaining but Utah was back within eight after Burke’s 3-pointer with 5:26 to go. Gasol again scored six straight Memphis points later in the period to make it 96-83 with 2:15 left and all but seal the win.
The Grizzlies shot 56.1 percent from the field and led by as many as 16 points en route to a 58-51 halftime lead. Memphis only scored 19 points on 7-of-23 shooting in the third quarter but managed to take a 77-71 lead into the final stanza.
