Mariners 4, Orioles 0
Luke French threw 7 2/3 innings of shutout, three-hit baseball to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 4-0 win over the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday night.
French had a no-hitter going through 5 1/3 innings and got all the support he needed from Matt Tuiasosopo to improve his record to 2-3 on the season.
Tuiasosopo drove in the game's only runs with an RBI double in the fifth inning and a three-run insurance homer in the ninth to put the game on ice.
Baltimore's Kevin Millwood (2-13) went eight innings, allowing a single run on six hits to take the hard-luck loss.
Two of the league's worst offenses lived up to their billing in this one. Seattle had 11 hits but left six runners stranded, while Baltimore left five men on base.
Brandon League recorded four outs to grab his third save of the season.
