Austin Jackson went 3-for-4 with a home run and drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning, lifting the visiting Detroit Tigers to a 6-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Saturday night.

Miguel Cabrera returned to the lineup after missing one game and had a two-run double to give him a major league-leading 110 RBIs as Detroit won its third straight game.

Tigers starter Rick Porcello (8-11) won his third straight start, allowing four runs and seven hits in seven innings. He struck out five and walked one.

Jose Valverde picked up his 25th save, rebounding from a pair of blown saves in his last three outings.

Kila Ka'aihue belted a two-run homer and drove in three runs for the Royals, who suffered their third straight defeat.

Dusty Hughes (1-2) was charged with two runs - one earned - in one-third of an inning.

Royals starter Bruce Chen couldn't get thru the fifth inning. He was charged with four runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings, striking out six and walking three.

Tigers second baseman Will Rhymes went 2-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to 12 games.
