Rays 8, Orioles 2

Evan Longoria belted his first home run of the season and drove in four runs to lead the visiting Tampa Bay Rays to an 8-2 rout of the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday afternoon.

Longoria was activated from the disabled list on Tuesday after missing 26 games with a strained oblique muscle.

After putting the Rays on the board with an RBI double in the first inning, Longoria launched a three-run homer in the third against Jeremy Guthrie (1-5). B.J. Upton added a three-run shot in the fifth to put the game out of reach.

Jeremy Hellickson (3-2) coasted to the win, allowing three hits and five walks over five shutout innings.

Guthrie exited after five innings after surrendering seven earned runs on 10 hits.

Johnny Damon added an RBI double in the sixth inning for Tampa Bay. Nick Markakis drove in both runs for the Orioles on a seventh-inning RBI single and a sacrifice fly in the ninth.
