Indians 4, Rockies 3

Josh Tomlin pitched into the seventh inning and Travis Hafner hit a two-run homer to lead the host Cleveland Indians to a 4-3 win over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night.

The victory snapped the Indians' five-game losing streak against the Rockies, who had won six of seven going into the game. All three contests in the series were decided by one run.

Ty Wigginton belted two home runs - a solo shot in the fifth and a two-run blast in the seventh - for the Rockies' only damage in 6 2/3 innings off Tomlin (9-4), who won for the third time this month.

Hafner will be limited to pinch-hitting duties on Cleveland's upcoming nine-game road trip against National League teams. He hit a 2-0 pitch down the right-field line off Jason Hammel (4-7) in the sixth.

Chris Perez, who allowed Seth Smith's game-winning home run Tuesday, pitched the ninth for his 18th save of the season. Smith doubled with two outs, but Wigginton flied out to end the game.

Cleveland scored two runs in the third. Grady Sizemore, who is in a 16-for-86 slump since coming off the disabled list on May 27, had an RBI single. The second run scored on Hammel's two-out balk.
