Astros 7, Dodgers 3
Brett Myers threw a complete game four-hitter and the visiting Houston Astros used a five-run sixth inning to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-3 on Friday.
Myers (3-6) threw just 98 pitches and retired 17 straight batters at one point while recording his 11th career complete game. He walked one while striking out six.
Ted Lilly (5-6) gave up six runs – five earned – on eight hits over 5 1/3 innings for the Dodgers, who lost their fourth straight and dropped a season-high nine games under .500.
Myers became the first pitcher to throw a complete game against the Dodgers with under 100 pitches since Jason Marquis on June 30, 2009.
Tied 1-1, Houston broke the game open in the top of the sixth when they sent 10 batters to the plate.
The Dodgers fell to 0-4 on their season-high 12-game homestand.
