Rockies 3, Dodgers 0
Juan Nicasio allowed three hits in seven innings in his return from the minor leagues and DJ LeMahieu had three hits and an RBI as visiting Colorado snapped Los Angeles' five-game winning streak.
Nicasio (5-4), whose seven-game winless streak helped earn him a demotion to Triple-A Colorado Springs, struck out three while throwing 101 pitches in his longest outing of the season. Troy Tulowitzki and Wilin Rosario also drove in runs for the Rockies, who won for the fourth time in their last 12 contests.
Clayton Kershaw (8-6) allowed three runs, six hits and struck out 10 in seven innings in ending his three-start winning streak. The Dodgers, who had won 16 of their last 19 games, finished with four hits to snap a four-game streak of double-digit hits.
Dexter Fowler led off the first inning with a single, stole second and advanced to third on LeMahieu's single. After Carlos Gonzalez was caught looking, Tulowitzki delivered a sacrifice fly and LeMahieu took second on the throw before scoring on Rosario's single to center.
Colorado took a 3-0 lead in the fifth inning when LeMahieu delivered a two-out single to right. Rex Brothers worked around a leadoff walk in the eighth and Rafael Betancourt allowed a leadoff single in the ninth before earning his 14th save in 15 chances.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Dodgers rookie phenom Yasiel Puig left the game after the fourth inning with a sore hip. He was replaced in right field by Scott Van Slyke, whose throw to the plate in the fifth was up the line, allowing Nolan Arenado to score on LeMahieu's hit. ... Los Angeles LF Carl Crawford was scratched from the starting lineup because of lower back stiffness. ... The two runs allowed by Kershaw in the first inning matched his total allowed in the opening frame from his first 19 starts this season.
