Dodgers 1, Rockies 0
Zack Greinke pitched a two-hitter to outduel Tyler Chatwood and win his fifth straight start as host Los Angeles prevailed for the 17th time in its last 21 games.
Hanley Ramirez provided the only run with an RBI groundout in the first inning and Greinke (8-2) did the rest, retiring the first 13 straight batters before Todd Helton served a single to left-center. The 29-year-old right-hander walked one and struck out nine in recording his first complete game since 2010.
Chatwood (5-3) was the tough-luck loser, yielding four hits in recording his first career complete game and the first by a Colorado pitcher since Jhoulys Chacin on Aug. 11, 2011 - a span of 290 games. Jonathan Herrera had the other hit for Colorado, a bunt single to lead off the sixth before he was caught stealing.
Skip Schumaker doubled to lead off the Dodgers' first inning and after Mark Ellis was hit by a pitch, Adrian Gonzalez's grounder advanced the runners. Ramirez followed with a ground ball to shortstop which easily scored Schumaker.
The Dodgers advanced runners to second base three other times, including when Greinke singled and stole second in the fifth inning and A.J. Ellis doubled in the seventh. Helton walked to lead off the eighth and pinch runner Josh Rutledge stole second before Greinke retired the next three batters.
