Nick Punto erased a deficit with a two-run double in the fifth and Hyun-Jin Ryu worked seven impressive innings as host Los Angeles extended its winning streak to seven games.

A.J. Ellis added a two-run single for the Dodgers, who improved to 39-8 since June 22 and 22-2 since the All-Star break. First-place Los Angeles maintained its 7 1/2-game lead over Arizona in the National League West.

Ryu (12-3) fell behind early as Juan Lagares deposited his fourth pitch of the game over the left-field wall for his fourth home run. Punto put the Dodgers ahead with his double off Matt Harvey (9-4) and Ellis hit a two-out single an inning later to plate a pair and increase the lead to 4-1.

Ryu allowed one run and five hits as he improved to 6-0 over his last nine starts. Ronald Belisario tossed a scoreless eighth and Kenley Jansen yielded a run in the ninth before registering his 19th save.

Harvey suffered his second loss in three outings, surrendering four runs and eight hits over six frames. John Buck delivered an RBI single in the ninth for the Mets, who fell to 2-3 on their 11-game road trip.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Ryu has yielded fewer than three runs in seven of his last nine outings. ... Los Angeles 1B Adrian Gonzalez went 0-for-4 as his seven-game RBI streak came to an end. ... Harvey won his first five road decisions before dropping his last two.
