Dodgers 6, Marlins 4

Yasiel Puig led off the eighth inning with a home run to snap a tie as visiting Los Angeles avoided a three-game losing streak and evened the four-game series at one win apiece.

Adrian Gonzalez collected three hits and an RBI while Carl Crawford, Mark Ellis and Tim Federowicz each had two hits and drove in a run for the first-place Dodgers, who maintained their 7 1/2-game lead over Arizona in the National League West.

Los Angeles used a four-run fourth inning to take a 4-1 lead, but Miami battled back to forge a tie, scoring twice in the bottom of the fourth and once in the sixth on Jeff Mathis' RBI single. Puig, who entered the game in the sixth as part of a double switch, put the Dodgers ahead for good when he deposited the first pitch of the eighth by Dan Jennings (2-4) over the wall in left-center for his 12th home run.

Chris Withrow (2-0) notched the victory after working 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Kenley Jansen tossed a perfect ninth for his 20th save.

Giancarlo Stanton registered three hits and an RBI for the Marlins, who have lost three of five.
