Top 5 Fantasy Defenses for Week 10

1.Tennessee Titans

The Titans aren’t more than an average NFL defense, but they have the dream matchup for fantasy owners in Week 10 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville has only scored eight total touchdowns all season, which is five less than the next-lowest team. Tennessee has scored 11 fantasy points or more in four games this season, and they should approach the 15-point mark this week against the worst offense in the NFL.

Projected Statistics: Nine points allowed, four sacks, one interception

2.Seattle Seahawks

It’s tough to pick against the Seahawks in almost any week with the way they are playing on defense. Surprisingly, they only produced three fantasy points last week against Tampa Bay but they will rebound this week in Atlanta. Matt Ryan has thrown two touchdowns and seven interceptions in all in his last two games, just breaking a 55 percent completion percentage against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8. Atlanta is also the worst rushing team in the league, while Seattle is second in the league in passing defense. That doesn’t leave much for the Falcons on offense in this one, and Seattle is a lock for just about two turnovers per game with the way its been playing.

Projected Statistics: 14 points allowed, two sacks, one interception, one fumble recovery

3.Arizona Cardinals

Don’t let Case Keenum’s first half against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night fool you, the Texans are still a sub-par offense, and the Cardinals are one of the better defenses in the league. Houston is fifth in the league in interceptions thrown, while the Cardinals are third in interceptions forced. The Cardinals are coming off a 16-point performance on Sunday in their game against the Atlanta Falcons, their fourth game of the season of double-digit fantasy points. Ben Tate is not going to see much time in this one, and Arian Foster continues to be a question mark. Play Arizona this week.

Projected Statistics: 17 points allowed, two sacks, two interceptions

4.Cincinnati Bengals

One of the more frustrating fantasy defenses this season, the Bengals have had games of two points twice, put have also posted games of 24 and 18 points. They’ll be closer to the 10-point mark this week against the Baltimore Ravens, who are struggling on offense this season. Baltimore is the 10th worst team in the NFL in terms of total yards per game, while its running backs are averaging just 2.7 yards per carry. Ravens receivers have only accounted for seven touchdowns in eight games (five of them to Marlon Brown). Meanwhile, the Bengals are working to get past losing Geno Atkins for the season, but are still ranked 11th in the league in passing defense and 10th in rushing defense. This will be a beat-em-up AFC North matchup with huge consequences, with the biggest winner being the Bengals defense.

Projected Statistics: 17 points allowed, three sacks, one interception

5.Oakland Raiders

The Raiders have virtually done nothing this season on defense, aside from Weeks 4, 5 and 8. They are coming off a Week 9 game against the Philadelphia Eagles in which Nick Foles threw seven touchdowns, but they’ll get a chance to rebound against the New York Giants. Eli Manning is becoming a turnover machine, en route to the Giants allowing 14.8 fantasy points per game to opposing defenses (the highest average in the league). Manning has thrown 15 interceptions in eight games, and has a 2:3 touchdown to interception ratio. Expect the Raiders to be closer to eight or nine points this week rather than the -2 they put up last week.

Projected Statistics: 20 points allowed, two sacks, two interceptions
