Rangers 2, Orioles 0
C.J. Wilson came within one out of his first career complete-game shutout and Mitch Moreland homered as the Texas Rangers snapped their four-game losing streak with a 2-0 triumph over the Baltimore Orioles.
Josh Hamilton added two hits and an RBI for the Rangers, who had lost their previous six road games.
After allowing a two-out double by Julio Lugo in the third, Wilson (12-5) retired the next 16 batters before Brian Roberts led off the ninth with a double. The left-hander set down the next two hitters before being replaced by Neftali Feliz, who recorded the last out for his 30th save in 33 opportunities and Texas' first this month.
Wilson, who struck out the side in the fifth, walked one and fanned a career-high 12 in 8 2/3 innings. It was the fifth consecutive victory for the 29-year old, who has allowed fewer than four earned runs in 14 of his last 15 starts.
Texas got on the board with one out in the second inning, when Moreland deposited a 3-2 pitch from Jake Arrieta (4-5) over the left-field wall for a solo homer, his third of the season. Arrieta yielded two runs - one earned - and eight hits in 6 2/3 frames, walking three and striking out three.
Hamilton doubled the lead for the Rangers in the seventh, plating Elvis Andrus with a two-out single for a 2-0 advantage.
Lugo recorded two hits for Baltimore, which had won its previous five meetings with Texas.
