Orioles 3, Angels 1
Brad Bergesen limited Los Angeles to one run in eight innings, leading the Baltimore Orioles to a 3-1 win over the Angels on Friday night.
The Angels' only run came in the first when Bergesen's balk scored Howie Kendrick from third base. Bergesen (6-9) held Los Angeles to four hits, struck out four and didn't walk a batter.
Koji Uehara pitched the ninth for his third save in three chances.
Trevor Bell (1-4) gave up two runs and six hits in seven innings. Bell struck out three and walked one.
Brian Roberts started the game with a double, stole third and scored on a Nick Markakis single. The Angels tied the game when Kendrick singled, went to third on Alberto Callaspo's single and scored on Bergesen's two-out balk.
Baltimore went ahead for good in the sixth on Luke Scott's RBI single. Josh Bell started the rally with a single. He moved up on a sacrifice and a groundout and scored from third on Scott's single.
Singles by Cesar Izturis and Bell started a rally in the eighth. Corey Patterson grounded into a force play, scoring Izturis.
