Blue Jays 4, Red Sox 3

Jose Bautista hit his 49th homer of the season and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Boston Red Sox 4-3 at Fenway Park Saturday night.

Bautista gave Toronto a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning with his eighth homer of the season against the Red Sox.

Ricky Romero (13-9) notched the win going six innings while allowing three runs on seven hits. Kevin Gregg worked the ninth for his 33rd save.

The Blue Jays had 17 hits on Friday and pumped out 10 more on Saturday. Toronto got two hits and an RBI from John McDonald and Jose Molina drove in the fourth run with a suicide squeeze bunt in the sixth inning.

Josh Beckett (5-5) took the loss. He allowed all 10 hits and four runs in seven innings.

The Red Sox got RBIs from David Ortiz, Jed Lowrie and J.D. Drew. They left nine men on base.
