Tigers 5, Twins 1

Ramon Santiago hit a go-ahead three-run homer and Miguel Cabrera added a two-run shot as the Detroit Tigers completed a three-game sweep Sunday with a 5-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

The Tigers dominated the visiting Twins, who have already wrapped up the American League Central Division title. Detroit outscored its division rivals 26-12 in the series, and has won eight of nine overall.

After Delmon Young put the Twins ahead in the top of the fourth inning with his 19th home run of the season, the Tigers answered in the bottom half on Santiago's third round-tripper of the campaign off Brian Duensing (10-3).

Cabrera added some insurance in the seventh inning, hitting a two-run blast to left field for his 38th of the year. Cabrera hit a two-run homer in each game of the series, and now has four long balls in his past five games.

Tigers starter Rick Porcello (10-11) did the rest, allowing a run on four hits over eight innings. The 21-year-old has won his last five decisions.

Duensing slipped to 8-2 as a starter, charged with five runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings.
