Daniel Murphy’s two-out, two-run double highlighted a four-run rally in the top of the seventh inning as the visiting New York Mets recorded a 4-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Monday.
Trailing 1-0 after six innings, Carlos Beltran tied the game with a sacrifice fly for the Mets. After David Wright singled, Murphy lined a double into the right field corner off reliever Logan Ondrusek for a 3-1 lead. Jason Bay knocked in the final run with his first double in 186 at-bats.
R.A. Dickey (5-8) gave up two runs over 6 2/3 innings for his first victory since June 28.
Jason Isringhausen pitched the ninth, striking out Brandon Phillips with the bases loaded to end the game and secure his 296th career save.
Cincinnati's Paul Janish was 3-for-4 in his first game back from the minors.
Wright, Murphy, Josh Thole and Justin Turner had two hits apiece for New York. Wright is 8-for-19 in four games since returning from the disabled list for the Mets.
Reds’ starter Mike Leake (8-6) allowed two runs and eight hits over 6 1/3 innings to take the loss.
