Braves 6, Giants 3

Brian McCann homered among his three hits and drove in three runs and Julio Teheran tossed seven strong innings as visiting Atlanta won the opener of the four-game series against San Francisco.

Teheran (2-0) allowed three runs with no walks and retired the final 10 batters he faced for the Braves, who have won four of their last six games. Craig Kimbrel worked around a two-out double in the ninth for his 11th save and 100th of his career.

The Braves trailed 3-2 before sending 10 batters to the plate and scoring four runs in the fifth to pull ahead 6-3. Jordan Schafer sparked the rally with a leadoff triple off Ryan Vogelsong (1-3), who was charged with six runs over 4 1/3 innings.

McCann blasted his first home run in his third game since coming off the disabled list, a two-run shot in the second that gave the Braves a 2-1 lead. Buster Posey answered with a two-run shot off Teheran in the third and had all three of the Giants' RBIs.

Atlanta, which has won six of its last eight games at AT&T Park, knocked Vogelsong out of the contest when Dan Uggla walked with one out in the fifth. With two runners on, McCann and B.J. Upton hit back-to-back RBI singles off Jose Mijares.
