Giants 8, Diamondbacks 4

PHOENIX -- San Francisco catcher Buster Posey had three hits and four RBIs and right-hander Jake Peavy got his first win of the season in the Giants' 8-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday at Chase Field.

Posey hit a two-run single in the third inning and singled in a run in the fourth as the Giants built a 7-1 lead. He also singled in a run in the eighth inning as the Giants (48-43) won their fourth straight.

Peavy (1-4) gave up four runs in 6 1/3 innings in his fifth start of the season since missing two months with a back injury. His last three victories have come against Arizona, the previous two on Sept. 11 and Sept. 16, 2014.

Third baseman Matt Duffy had three hits and second baseman Joe Panik and center fielder Angel Pagan had two apiece as the Giants won their 10th consecutive series at Chase Field.

Left fielder David Peralta and pinch hitter Cliff Pennington homered for the Diamondbacks (42-47), who have a season-worst five-game losing streak.

Arizona right fielder Ender Inciarte had three hits and an RBI.

Posey, who was 3-for-4, has hits in 16 of his last 17 games, with 22 RBIs.

Giants right-hander Sergio Romo got the final four outs for his first save of the season.

Peralta led off the second inning with his third triple in two games and scored on second baseman Chris Owings' single to left field for a 1-0 lead.

In the third, Peavy, Pagan and Duffy singled to load the bases. Posey gthen hit a two-run single to right field and shortstop Brandon Crawford dumped a two-run single to left for a 4-1 lead. Peavy had been in an 0-for-28 slump.

San Francisco knocked out Arizona starter Chase Anderson in a three-run fourth as the Giants took a 7-1 lead. Catcher Andrew Susac tripled and scored on Pagan's sacrifice fly before Anderson hit Panik and Duffy singled.

Posey singled in a run, and David Hernandez replaced Anderson and gave up an RBI single to Pence.

Inciarte singled home catcher Oscar Hernandez to make it 7-2 in the fifth. Hernandez's one-out double was his first major league hit.

Peralta's homer in the sixth made it 7-3, and Pennington hit a solo homer in the eighth.

NOTES: San Francisco LF Nori Aoki had a bone scan in Phoenix on Saturday that showed his fractured right fibula is 80 percent healed, manager Bruce Bochy said. Aoki, who has been on the disabled list since June 24, should return in about two weeks, Bochy said. ... Arizona C Oscar Hernandez made his first major-league start Saturday against Giants RHP Jake Peavy, who Hernandez faced in his rehab assignment in the Pacific Coast League this year. Hernandez, a Rule 5 pick from Tampa Bay last winter, served as a pinch runner in his first major-league game Sunday. He spent most of the first three months on the disabled list. ... Arizona RF Yasmany Tomas was ranked among the NL leaders in batting average (.306) for the first time this season after reaching the requisite number of plate appearances -- he needed 273 and had 274. He did not start Saturday. ... The Giants entered Saturday having won nine straight series at Chase Field, the longest active streak in the majors for a visiting team at one opponent's park.
