The visiting Chicago White Sox produced four extra-base hits in their first five at-bats and went on to beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-3 on Thursday night for their sixth win in seven games.
Mark Buehrle (10-5) went eight innings, striking out five and walking none while allowing six hits. He has not allowed more than three runs in any of his last 18 starts.
Sergio Santos got his 25th save in 28 chances with a perfect ninth.
Juan Pierre led off the first with a single off Chris Tillman (3-5). Alexei Ramirez homered and the next three batters doubled for a 4-0 lead.
A.J. Pierzynski’s run-scoring double gave him five RBIs in the series. He went 10-for-17 over the four games.
Nick Markakis hit his 11th homer for last-place Baltimore, which has dropped 12 of 16.
