White Sox 3, Cubs 2

Brent Morel's sacrifice fly in the seventh inning lifted the host Chicago White Sox to a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night.

Paul Konerko homered for the fifth consecutive game to give the White Sox a 1-0 lead in the second. Carlos Pena hit a solo homer in the fifth for the Cubs.

Alexei Ramirez led off the seventh with a double to center field against Jeff Samardzija (5-3) and advanced to third on an infield single by A.J. Pierzynski. With one out, Morel lifted a fly ball to center to score Ramirez with the go-ahead run.

White Sox closer Sergio Santos recorded the final four outs to save it for Jesse Crain (3-2), who inherited a pair of baserunners after a 1:44 rain delay in the sixth inning and allowed a sacrifice fly by Aramis Ramirez.

The White Sox' Mark Buehrle allowed two runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings. Matt Garza yielded two runs on four hits in five innings.
