Mariners 8, Angels 3

Mariners 8, Angels 3: Joe Saunders pitched seven scoreless innings and Raul Ibanez homered twice and drove in three runs as host Seattle snapped its three-game losing streak.

Rookie Mike Zunino went 3-for-4 with an RBI while Kyle Seager and Kendrys Morales also went deep for the Mariners, who have homered in a franchise-record 20 consecutive games.

Saunders (8-8) scattered five hits and two walks while striking out five en route to his first career victory over the Angels. The veteran left-hander limited Los Angeles to a run over eight innings June 19 but was saddled with a hard-luck loss in a 1-0 defeat.

After Ibanez got the Mariners on the board in the first inning with an RBI double, Seager led off the second with his 15th blast to extend his hitting streak to 12 games and give Seattle a 2-0 lead. Ibanez ignited a four-run fourth with a leadoff shot and added a two-out solo homer in the seventh, completing his third two-homer performance of the season.

Jerome Williams (5-5) was tagged for six runs and seven hits in 3 1/3 frames as his winless streak reached five starts. Mike Trout hit an RBI triple and scored a run for the Angels, who lost for just the fourth time in 15 contests.
