Indians 6, Angels 1

Lou Marson's grand slam capped a five-run sixth inning, leading the Cleveland Indians to a 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night.

Justin Masterson (6-12) gave up one run - Torii Hunter's solo homer in the fifth - in seven innings. He allowed six hits, struck out five and walked two.

The sixth-inning explosion broke open a tie game. Travis Hafner's leadoff home run off Trevor Bell started the rally. The play was reviewed by the umpires and the call was upheld.

The Indians then loaded the bases against Francisco Rodriguez on Jordan Brown's single and walks to Jason Donald and Luis Valbuena. Marson's first career grand slam came on a 1-0 pitch.

Bell (2-5) allowed two runs and four hits in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out four and walked three.

Shin-Soo Choo's sacrifice fly gave the Indians the lead in the third. Michael Brantley singled, stole second and took third when shortstop Erick Aybar missed the throw and was charged with an error after the ball went into center field. Choo followed with a fly ball to center, scoring Brantley.
