Blue Jays 2, Angels 7
Bobby Wilson swatted a pair of homers Saturday as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim breezed past the Toronto Blue Jays 7-2.
Wilson's three-run homer to left field in the fourth inning extended the Angels' advantage to 5-0, and he capped a career night with a two-run blast in the sixth frame. The seldom-used catcher finished with a career-high five RBIs.
Hideki Matsui added four hits, including a homer, and two runs driven in for Los Angeles, which avenged a 3-0 loss in Friday's series opener.
Ervin Santana (12-8) was sharp all game long, limiting the powerhouse Toronto offense to a run on three hits over seven innings. He walked four and struck out four to win for the fourth time in his last five starts.
Brett Cecil (9-6) had his worst outing since late-June, tagged for seven runs on 10 hits over 5 2/3 innings. He walked one, struck out one and surrendered all three Angel homers.
Fred Lewis belted a solo home run for the Jays while Adam Lind produced the other run with an RBI groundout.
