Todd Helton drove in the winning run with a single in the eighth inning to lift the Colorado Rockies to a 5-4 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Monday.
Helton had four hits and a pair of RBIs and Ian Stewart homered in the opener of a three-game set.
Rafael Betancourt (4-1) earned the win despite allowing a run in an inning of relief. Huston Street closed the door for his 11th save.
Alex Gonzalez evened things at 4 in the eighth with a deep double that plated Martin Prado.
Prado had a pair of RBIs and Rick Ankiel drove in a run in the losing effort.
Jonny Venters (4-1) was saddled with the loss.
