The Marlins had managed just one hit through the first nine innings before Hanely Ramirez singled with one out in the 10th. Ramirez then stole second before Drew Storen (3-3) walked Gaby Sanchez. Tracy followed and lifted a single to shallow left, plating Ramirez with the games’s lone run.
Clay Hensley (3-4) took the win for Florida.
The Nationals threatened in the top of the 10th, but Nyjer Morgan was thrown out at home plate during a run down.
Jordan Zimmerman started for Washington as he is still working his way back after Tommy John surgery. He was lifted after six innings despite throwing just 86 pitches - 55 for strikes. The 24-year-old right-hander dominated in his abbreviated stint, allowing one hit while stirking out nine and walking none.
