Orioles 4, Red Sox 1

Rookie Zach Britton pitched six solid innings for his fourth win of the season and the Baltimore Orioles snapped Boston’s five-game winning streak with a 4-1 victory at Camden Yards Tuesday night.

The Orioles (9-12), who ended their three-game losing streak, never trailed and scored three times on sacrifice flies. Adam Jones had two and Mark Reynolds had the other. Matt Wieters had two hits, including a run-scoring single, and Vladimir Guerrero had three hits.

Britton (4-1) allowed just one run on five hits over six innings, Jim Johnson worked two innings and Kevin Gregg worked the ninth for his third save.

Dustin Pedroia scored Boston’s lone run on a sacrifice fly by Kevin Youkilis in the fifth inning.

Clay Buchholz (1-3) took the loss for Boston (10-12), allowing a dozen hits and four runs in 6 2/3 innings.

Carl Crawford continued to struggle, going 0-for-4 to drop his average to .163.
