Phillies 10, Reds 4

Cliff Lee is known for being clutch with his arm. On Thursday, the 32-year-old lefthander came through with his bat.

Lee belted a two-run ground-rule double to snap a tie in the sixth inning and added an RBI single as the Philadelphia Phillies posted a 10-4 home triumph over the Cincinnati Reds.

Raul Ibanez, who ended the 6-hour, 11-minute marathon in 19 innings on Wednesday, launched a three-run homer and Chase Utley capped the onslaught with his first blast of the season.

Michael Martinez drove in two as every member of the Phillies' starting lineup recorded at least one hit en route to the team's fifth win in seven outings.

Although he allowed a four-run lead to slip away, Lee (4-4) scattered 10 hits in eight innings to give the tired bullpen a bit of a rest. Jose Contreras, who was activated from the disabled list on Thursday, worked a flawless ninth to preserve the win.

Jay Bruce belted a two-run shot for his fourth homer in five games and Paul Janish added a two-run single for Cincinnati, which suffered its eighth loss in nine games.

Recalled from Double-A Carolina prior to the game, Daryl Thompson (0-1) permitted five runs on six hits in three innings to take the loss.
