Phillies 7, Giants 2

Rookie Vance Worley recorded his first career complete game and Raul Ibanez belted a three-run homer as the Philadelphia Phillies cruised to a 7-2 home victory over the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday in a rematch of last year's National League Championship Series.

Chase Utley hit an inside-the-park homer and John Mayberry Jr. and Ryan Howard also went deep for NL East-leading Philadelphia, which was denied its third straight World Series berth after the Giants won last year's NLCS in six games.

With scheduled starter Tim Lincecum scratched because of the flu, Barry Zito (3-3) was pressed into duty. Zito was battered in his second straight outing after permitting six runs on as many hits in seven innings.

The offensive outburst was more than enough for Worley (7-1), who won his fifth straight start after allowing two runs on three hits while striking out five. The 23-year-old righthander has yielded just six runs in his last seven outings.

Former Phillie Aaron Rowand belted a pinch-hit homer for NL West-leading San Francisco, which fell for just the fourth time in 13 games.
