Cubs 11, Reds 4

Starlin Castro drove in four runs and Carlos Zambrano homered as the Chicago Cubs cruised to their seventh straight victory with an 11-4 triumph over the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday at Wrigley Field.

Carlos Pena had a pair of RBI doubles and Castro's two-run double highlighted a five-run fifth inning for Chicago, which last won seven in a row from Aug. 23-29, 2008.

The offensive explosion was more than enough for Zambrano (9-6), who allowed three runs on six hits in six innings to record his third win in four outings.

Johnny Cueto (7-5) surrendered more than three earned runs for the first time in 17 starts this season. He permitted five runs on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings.

Second baseman Brandon Phillips left the game with an ankle injury after colliding with center fielder Drew Stubbs.

Rookie Yonder Alonso belted his first career homer and Miguel Cairo and Joey Votto added RBI singles for Cincinnati, which has lost three in a row and four of its last five.
