Eliezer Alfonzo hit his first career grand slam and Esmil Rogers pitched five strong innings in relief of the traded Ubaldo Jimenez as the Colorado Rockies defeated the host San Diego Padres 10-6 on Saturday night.
Jimenez gave up four runs in the first before he was pulled from the game and informed of his trade to Cleveland.
Rogers (4-1) took over in the second and gave up one run on one hit with four strikeouts.
Alfonzo, who entered the game with four hits in 17 at-bats, drove in five runs and homered for the first time since May 30, 2010.
Troy Tulowitzki blasted a two-run homer in the first off Padres starter Aaron Harang (9-3), who gave up six runs on six hits and struck out six over 5 2/3 innings.
Alberto Gonzalez drove in three runs for the Padres, who were limited to four hits and lost their fourth straight to the Rockies.
