Prince Fielder belted a three-run homer in the first inning and Anibal Sanchez pitched six scoreless frames as visiting Detroit defeated Chicago for the third straight night.

Austin Jackson and Torii Hunter each had a solo homer while joining Fielder and Hernan Perez with two hits apiece for the Tigers, who have won four in a row overall. Sanchez (8-7) allowed six hits, one walk and struck out five while throwing 101 pitches.

Dayan Viciedo had a solo homer among his three hits for the White Sox, who left 10 on base and have dropped six of eight. Chicago starter John Danks (2-8) yielded six runs and 11 hits over seven innings, losing his third straight decision and sixth in the last seven.

Fielder belted a low fastball from Danks into the right-center field seats for his 17th of the season and a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Jackson added to the advantage in the second with a two-out solo blast, which fell just inside the left-field foul pole.

Hunter gave the Tigers a 5-0 lead with a one-out blast to left in the fifth on a 1-0 pitch from Danks, who has given up 17 homers in 76 2/3 innings this season. Alex Avila capped a two-out rally in the sixth with a run-scoring single, extending the lead to six.
