Giants 10, Rockies 0

Buster Posey tripled, doubled, singled and had three RBIs while Barry Zito and San Francisco continued their mastery of visiting Colorado with the three-game sweep.

Zito (2-0) scattered seven hits in seven innings in winning his 11th consecutive decision - and sixth in a row against the Rockies, and also had a career-high two hits, including an RBI single, and two runs scored. The Giants, who had 16 hits, have won nine straight over Colorado and 16 in a row overall when Zito starts.

Andres Torres had three hits, including a two-out two-run single in the second inning to make it 7-0 and chase Jeff Francis (1-1). The Rockies left-hander allowed seven runs (four earned) and seven hits in 1 2/3 innings as Colorado fell to 4-17 at AT&T Park since 2011.

Posey crushed a triple in the first inning that rolled all the way to the 421-foot marker in right-center field to score Angel Pagan, who led off with an infield hit. After Hunter Pence struck out, Joaquin Arias delivered a two-out single to knock in Posey.

The Giants scored five runs while sending 10 men to the plate in the second inning, with Posey's ground-rule double to center field scoring Zito to make it 4-0. San Francisco made it 9-0 in the fifth on Zito's run-scoring single to left field and Posey's RBI hit that drove in Zito.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Posey is 7-for-10 against Francis. ... Zito, who is 8-2 with a 2.47 ERA in 21 career games (19 starts) against the Rockies, hasn't lost to them since Sept. 25, 2008, a span of 11 starts.
