Rockies 10, Giants 9

Jordan Pacheco broke a tie with his first career grand slam and host Colorado hung on to snap a 10-game losing streak against San Francisco.

Pacheco ripped the first pitch he saw from Madison Bumgarner in the fifth inning into the left-field seats to give the Rockies a 9-5 lead. Carlos Gonzalez homered and scored three times and Rafael Betancourt struck out the side in a perfect ninth to earn his 10th save in 10 chances for Colorado.

Jorge De La Rosa (5-3), who had recorded 13 scoreless innings in his last two starts, earned the victory despite allowing five runs and nine hits in five frames. Bumgarner (4-2) yielded nine runs (seven earned) and eight hits in 4 2/3 innings in losing for the first time on the road.

San Francisco's Marco Scutaro went 3-for-5 to extend his hitting streak to a major league-best 16 games and his RBI single in the second inning helped the Giants take a 4-0 lead. Gonzalez hit a solo shot to center field in the sixth inning - his 10th - to put the Rockies on top 10-5.

Hunter Pence recorded an RBI triple and scored to highlight San Francisco's three-run seventh inning before Dexter Fowler prevented more damage with a diving catch of Angel Pagan's bid for extra bases to end the frame. The Giants' Buster Posey had two RBIs, including a solo home run in the eighth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bumgarner and the Giants defeated De La Rosa and the Rockies 4-2 in San Francisco on April 8. Bumgarner was 2-0 with a 0.83 ERA in three road starts entering the game. ... Scutaro has 12 multi-hit games - including nine of his last 10 - and is hitting .485 during his streak. ... The Rockies won for only the third time in their last 15 games against the Giants at Coors Field.
