Kyle Seager hit a two-run homer in the top of the 10th inning to lead Seattle past host Texas for the second consecutive night.

Michael Saunders drew a two-out walk from Robbie Ross (4-2) and Seager followed by slamming a 1-1 pitch over the right-field fence. Jason Bay also went deep for the Mariners.

Charlie Furbush (2-4) pitched 1 2/3 hitless innings and Tom Wilhelmsen worked a perfect 10th for this 17th save in 22 opportunities. The save was Wilhelmsen’s first since June 10.

Bay led off the game with his 11th homer, but Texas recovered to take a 2-1 lead when David Murphy and Ian Kinsler hit fifth-inning shots off Felix Hernandez. The Mariners tied the contest in the sixth,when Mike Zunino hit a bases-loaded infield single off the glove of Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre.

Hernandez allowed two runs and seven hits in seven innings. Texas starter Derek Holland matched his season high with 10 strikeouts – with both occasions coming against Seattle – while giving up two runs and seven hits in six innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Rangers signed OF Manny Ramirez to a minor-league contract. The 41-year-old Ramirez will report to Triple-A Round Rock and serve as the designated hitter when he is ready to play in games. … Wilhelmsen is 6-for-6 in save opportunities against the Rangers. … Texas CF Leonys Martin was hitless in four at-bats as his 15-game hitting streak came to an end.
