Phillies 3, Giants 0

Hunter Pence and John Mayberry Jr. homered to lead off the second inning and Cliff Lee tossed his fifth complete game of the season as the visiting Philadelphia Phillies extended their win streak to seven games Thursday with a 3-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants.

Lee (11-7) gave up seven hits with no walks while striking out eight on just 106 pitches.

Pence hit his first home run for Philadelphia and ended a season-high homerless drought of 19 games. He knocked in an insurance run when his single scored Shane Victorino in the top of the ninth inning.

Madison Bumgarner (6-11) was the hard-luck loser for San Francisco, which has lost six of its last seven. Bumgarner gave up two runs on six hits while striking out nine over eight innings.
