Astros 4, Reds 3 (10)
Humberto Quintero scored on a fielder's choice by Jose Altuve with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Houston Astros a 4-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Monday night.
Quintero led off the 10th with a single against Logan Ondrusek (4-4) and moved to third on a hit by Angel Sanchez. Ondrusek intentionally walked Brian Bogusevic to load the bases and got Altuve to ground to second, but catcher Ryan Hanigan dropped Brandon Phillips' throw to the plate.
Mark Melancon (6-3) pitched two scoreless innings of relief.
The Astros took a 3-0 lead in the second when Jimmy Paredes tripled in a pair of runs in his first major league at-bat and scored on a double by Quintero.
The Reds got on the board in the third on Joey Votto's RBI double and a run-scoring single by Phillips before they tied the game on a bases-loaded double play in the fifth.
Bronson Arroyo allowed three runs and six hits in eight innings for the Reds.
Houston's Bud Norris gave up three runs on 10 hits over five-plus innings. He left the game in the sixth after re-aggravating a blister on his finger.
