Rockies 3, Padres 2
Jason Hammel combined with five relievers to lead the visiting Colorado Rockies to a 3-2 victory over the San Diego Padres on Friday night.
Hammel (6-10) allowed two runs on five hits and struck out five over 6 1/3 innings for Colorado, which has won 10 of its last 13 games at San Diego.
Huston Street worked around Cameron Maybin's two-out double in the ninth inning for his 28th save.
After Ian Stewart and Chris Iannetta singled home runs in the second, Stewart scored on a balk by Padres starter Tim Stauffer (6-8), who gave up three runs on eight hits over seven innings.
San Diego, which fell to 15-22 in one-run games, left the bases loaded in the seventh when Matt Belisle retired Ryan Ludwick on a fly ball to right field.
Orlando Hudson and Chase Headley had RBI singles in the third for the Padres.
