Diamondbacks 10, Rockies 7
Geoff Blum homered and drove in three runs to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks' 12th win in 13 games, a 10-7 victory at Colorado on Monday afternoon.
After the Rockies took a 2-1 lead on Mark Ellis' solo homer in the third inning, the Diamondbacks roared back behind Blum, who delivered a two-run single in the fourth before leading off Arizona's five-run sixth with a home run to right field off Esmil Rogers (6-5). Paul Goldschmidt highlighted the inning with a three-run double.
Colorado scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth, including three on a Troy Tulowitzki home run, before coming up short. Dexter Fowler hit solo home runs in the first and ninth innings for the Rockies.
Wade Miley (3-1) drove in a run while pitching seven strong innings for the win. He allowed two runs on six hits, striking out six and walking three. Rogers lasted just 5 1/3 innings for the Rockies, surrendering six runs on eight hits and walking five.
Justin Upton hit a solo home run in the first inning for the Diamondbacks, who began the day with a comfortable eight-game lead over San Francisco atop the NL West standings.
