Athletics 4, Orioles 2

Coco Crisp’s two-out RBI single in the sixth inning broke a tie and the Oakland Athletics went on to defeat the visiting Baltimore Orioles 4-2 on Saturday night.

Kevin Kouzmanoff and Josh Willingham also had two-out RBI singles for the A’s, who have won four of their last five.

Mark Ellis added a solo home run in the eighth, his first of the season. Ellis, Crisp, Kouzmanoff and Cliff Pennington each had two hits for Oakland.

Josh Outman (1-0) gave up six hits and two runs over six innings to get the victory. Brian Fuentes pitched the ninth inning for his 10th save and first since May 8. Oakland turned two double plays and has six in the series.

Adam Jones and Craig Tatum each had RBI singles for the Orioles, who have lost two in a row after winning five straight. Tatum’s first RBI of the season tied the game at 2-2 in the fourth inning.

Orioles starter Brad Bergesen (1-6) went 5 2/3 innings, allowing nine hits and three runs – two earned.
