John Lannan pitched 5 2/3 strong innings and drove in two runs to lead the visiting Washington Nationals to a 5-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Saturday night.
Lannan (6-6) allowed two runs and five hits to improve to 8-4 against Atlanta. It was the 10th straight start in which he allowed three or fewer runs. Lannan also went 2-for-3, including a two-run single in the second to make it 3-0.
Wilson Ramos hit a two-run homer and had an RBI double, and Drew Storen pitched a scoreless ninth for his 24th save.
Alex Gonzalez hit a two-run shot in the second for Atlanta.
Tommy Hanson (10-5), who had a five-game winning streak halted, allowed five runs in 5 1/3 innings and struck out eight.
