Ruben Tejada lined a run-scoring single into left-center with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to give host New York a three-game sweep.
Scott Hairston led off the ninth with a single off Miami reliever Ryan Webb (4-3). With the bases loaded and two outs, Tejada came through to plate Hairston with the winning run.
New York jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first. David Wright socked his 19th homer of the season off Miami starter Ricky Nolasco with one out.
Miami rallied with a pair of runs in the fifth. Bryan Petersen lifted a sacrifice fly to center to plate Rob Brantly. Later in the inning, Gorkys Hernandez stole second and on catcher Kelly Shoppach’s throwing error, Gil Velazquez scored to tie the game.
Bobby Parnell (5-4) pitched a scoreless ninth to get the win for New York.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Both starters pitched well but earned no decisions. Nolasco allowed five hits and two runs in seven innings, walking two and striking out five. Chris Young fired six innings of five-hit ball at the Marlins, allowing two runs (one earned) with two walks and five strikeouts. … Miami concludes its final road trip of 2012 with a three-game series at Atlanta, starting Tuesday. The Mets wrap up their final homestand of the season with a four-game set against Pittsburgh.
