Dodgers 6, Diamondbacks 1

Ricky Nolasco gave up one run over seven innings in his Los Angeles debut as the streaking Dodgers beat host Arizona for the second straight night.

Nolasco (6-8), acquired from Miami on Saturday, allowed only four hits and struck out five as Los Angeles improved to 14-3 in its last 17 games. Nolasco also contributed a pair of hits - including an RBI single - to help the Dodgers pull within 2 1/2 games of the first-place Diamondbacks in the National League West.

Ian Kennedy (3-5), facing Los Angeles for the first time since his 10-game suspension for inciting a benches-clearing brawl on June 11, was roughed up for six runs - five earned - on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings.

Adrian Gonzalez drove in three runs and Skip Schumaker had two hits and an RBI for the Dodgers, who opened a 6-0 lead through six innings. Gonzalez was in the middle of a pair of two-run rallies, as his bases-loaded fly ball was dropped by center fielder Adam Eaton in the fifth inning before he delivered a two-run single in the sixth.

Arizona finally got on the board on Martin Prado's run-scoring single in the seventh. Los Angeles' Hanley Ramirez went 0-for-4 to end his career-high 19-game hitting streak.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Eaton, who was activated from the disabled list on Tuesday, had a rocky season debut by going hitless in four at-bats in addition to the costly error in the fifth. ... Los Angeles starting pitchers are 5-for-5 at the plate in the series. Nolasco was 2-for-2 one night after Zack Greinke went 3-for-3. ... Max Domi, who was the No. 12 overall pick by the Phoenix Coyotes in last weekend's NHL draft, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
