Clayton Kershaw threw his fourth complete game of the season as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the host San Diego Padres 6-2 on Monday night.
Kershaw (13-4) matched last season’s career-high win total in his first start against San Diego this season. He allowed six hits and struck out four en route to his fifth career complete game.
Cory Luebke (3-6) lost his third straight start after giving up five runs on 10 hits over 7 1/3 innings.
Matt Kemp went 2-for-4 with a run-scoring triple in the eighth to extend his hitting streak to nine games.
Kershaw leads the National League with 177 strikeouts.
