Blue Jays 6, Rays 4 (11)

John McDonald hit a walk-off home run in the 11th inning as the Toronto Blue Jays came from behind to secure a 6-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday.

Jose Bautista came within a single of hitting for the cycle and Edwin Encarnacion drove in the tying run in the eighth for the Blue Jays, who have recorded seven come-from-behind victories already this season.

Cesar Ramos began the 11th for Tampa Bay and struck out Travis Snider before manager Joe Maddon elected to bring in Adam Russell (1-1) to face the right-handed Juan Rivera. Russell allowed Rivera to reach on a single and McDonald took the second pitch out to left field.

Marc Rzepczynski (2-0) retired one batter to pick up the win as four relievers combined to allow one hit in four innings for Toronto.

The Rays were up 4-3 in the eighth when Joel Peralta came on in relief of starter Jeremy Hellickson. Peralta walked Bautista to lead off the inning and allowed an RBI double to Encarnacion two batters later.
