Indians 4, White Sox 0

Justin Masterson struck out eight in his third shutout of the season to outduel Chris Sale as visiting Cleveland completed a four-game sweep of Chicago.

Ryan Raburn and Drew Stubbs each doubled in a run and Carlos Santana chipped in an RBI single for the Indians, who have won 14 of their last 19 to pull even with Detroit atop the American League Central. Masterson (10-6) surrendered six hits while walking one to improve to 3-0 against the White Sox in 2013.

Alejandro De Aza recorded two hits as Chicago fell for the 13th time in the last 17 games. Sale (5-7) was charged with three runs on seven hits while striking out 10 in eight innings to drop to 0-5 in his last six turns.

Raburn lined a two-out double into the gap in left-center to plate Stubbs and open the scoring in the fourth. Santana followed with a single to left to make it a 2-0 lead.

Lonnie Chisenhall pushed across a run with a groundout in the fifth and Stubbs provided some insurance when his RBI ground-rule double bounced off the warning track in left-center in the eighth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Indians placed CF Michael Bourn on a three-day paternity leave and recalled LHP Nick Hagadone from Triple-A Columbus. … White Sox 1B Paul Konerko (back) missed his sixth straight game. … Cleveland will get Monday off before continuing its road trip at Kansas City. Chicago will host Baltimore on Tuesday.
