Rockies 5, Padres 4: Charlie Blackmon tripled, singled and drove in two runs as visiting Colorado held on to take the rubber match of the three-game series.

DJ LeMahieu went 2-for-4 and scored twice while Todd Helton added two hits and an RBI for the Rockies, who improved to 8-3 against their National League West rival this season.

Blackmon gave Colorado a 4-0 lead with an RBI single in the sixth inning, but San Diego closed within a run as Carlos Quentin belted a two-run homer in the bottom half and Chris Denorfia singled home Everth Cabrera in the seventh. The Rockies added insurance in the eighth, when pinch-hitter Corey Dickerson hit a one-out infield single and scored on Blackmon's triple.

Jorge De La Rosa (9-5) allowed two runs on two hits and four walks over five-plus innings en route to his seventh win in nine decisions. Three relievers bridged the gap to Rafael Betancourt, who yielded a run in the ninth before notching his 13th save in 14 opportunities.

Andrew Cashner (5-5) surrendered three runs - two earned - and eight hits in five innings. Chase Headley had two hits and an RBI for the Padres, who have lost 11 of 12.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rockies LF Carlos Gonzalez returned to the lineup after missing two games with an injured middle finger on his right hand and went 1-for-5. ... San Diego has not won consecutive contests since June 20-21 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. ... Cabrera recorded two hits and scored twice while notching his NL-leading 32nd stolen base.
