Rockies 0, Dodgers 6

Clayton Kershaw pitched seven shutout innings and Los Angeles scored five runs in the fifth inning as the Dodgers beat the visiting Colorado Rockies 6-0 on Tuesday night.

Kershaw (11-7) allowed five hits while beating Colorado for the third time this season. The left-hander struck out six and walked three. The 22-year-old lefty has now thrown 26 consecutive shutout innings against Colorado at Chavez Ravine.

Scott Podsednik doubled in the first two runs of the fifth and James Loney doubled in the next two. Casey Blake had a RBI single for the fifth run.

Blake also scored from third with two outs in the ninth when Colorado reliever Randy Flores threw wildly to first base on Ronnie Belliard’s infield tapper.

The victory was just the second in the last seven games for the Dodgers.

Eric Young Jr. went 2-for-3 with two walks and two steals for Colorado.

Rockies starter Jhoulys Chacin (5-9) gave up five runs, five hits and five walks in five innings. Chacin struck out four.
