Yankees 6, Orioles 3 (11)
The New York Yankees kept piling up runs on the Baltimore Orioles, only this time they did it in extra innings.
New York scored three runs in the top of the 11th inning for a 6-3 win over Baltimore and an abbreviated two-game sweep on Sunday.
After a 40-minute rain delay, Robinson Cano scored the go-ahead run after a lead-off double against Jason Berken (0-1), who was the last line of defense for the American League's second-worst bullpen.
Boone Logan (1-1) shut down Baltimore in the bottom of the frame to secure the win for the Yankees (12-6), who have captured 17 of the last 21 against the Orioles - including all four meetings this season. Derek Jeter went 4-for-6 with an RBI for New York.
Freddy Garcia had his second straight outing of six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out seven.
Baltimore (8-12) put runners in scoring position in just one inning against Garcia but got on the board with a Mark Reynolds' two-run shot off Joba Chamberlain. Mariano Rivera then blew his second save in as many chances in the ninth as Brian Roberts drove in the game-tying run on an RBI double.
Jake Arrieta allowed three earned runs on five hits and struck out nine in six innings.
